Pristine Sustainable Ecosystems, through it’s Chair person was privileged to be invited to speak at key sessions during the 12th Conference on Batter Air Quality in Asia in March 2026. The conference https://cleanairasia.org/baq presented an opportunity for sharing experience on approaches for South-South Cooperation to improve air quality for all. Focus on communicating air pollution impacts session on: “”How do we communicate air quality to elevate it in the public, political and policy agenda?” created an opportunity to present a practical perspective on communicating impacts of air pollution with focus on Members of Parliament as a political unit. And this is because Members of Parliament make important policies on air quality, enact Laws and influence decisions on national budget- allocation. If they understand the impact of air pollution and associated consequences to human health, economic and social consequences to their constituents and hence voters, they are more likely to provide budgetary resources for air pollution projects.
The message was therefore anchored on the need to identify practical life-supporting needs of constituents as the foundation for framing the impact of air pollution messages to communicate to Members of Parliament. The extent and depth to which air pollution affects health, agricultural productivity, quality of water resources and soils are important message framing foundations.
